Continental template

European tabular style: dates in their own column on the left and an optional photo, as is customary in German-speaking countries.

Shown with the fictional data analyst example. Colours: six accents to choose from in the builder; the PDF prints them as shown.

Applicant tracking systems

Continental is a single column of real text with standard headings, no tables, text boxes, icons or images (except an optional photo). That's the format parsers find easiest. What an ATS actually does.

About the photo

Photos are still common on CVs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and in some other European countries, and some employers there expect one. In the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia they're not expected, and many employers prefer not to receive them because a photo invites bias. The builder only prints a photo if you add one and switch it on, and flags it if your CV is set to a region where photos aren't customary. Should your CV have a photo?
