A modern two-column layout with a slim right-hand column and a bold name block.

Shown with the fictional project manager example. Colours: six accents to choose from in the builder; the PDF prints them as shown.

Split puts skills, languages and certifications in a side column. In the PDF, the main column comes first in the text and the side column after it, so a parser that reads the text in order gets your experience before your skills. Most current systems handle this; some older parsers read straight across the page and mix the two columns. If you're uploading to a portal you don't know, use a single-column template such as Clarity for that application, or paste the plain-text export into the form. Formatting that trips up ATS.
